I cashed in my cans and bottles today ($30.35) and while I was there someone did not want to take the time to wait for a machine so he gave me his cans and bottles which amounted to $5.75.  I also found 2 bottles in the return slot at Stop N Rob and 1 penny at the Coinstar today.  So the new year is off and running.
